Growing Up, Looking Back

Posted at 7:36 am under 6th Grade, Public, Veglahn

This is the first post in the collaboration with Mrs. Veglahn’s 7th grade class…..but anyone is welcome to post!

So, some of us are teachers, some of us are 6th graders, and some of us are 7th graders. Let’s share what’s great about where we are in life and why it’s better than where we were last year!

For you 6th graders, why is middle school better than elementary school? Or is it worse?

7th graders – why is 7th grade better than 6th grade? Or would you rather be in 8th grade already?

Teachers – are you doing anything cool this year that you weren’t last year? Anything you miss about last year?

Remember, give details!

Make sure you share whether you’re currently a 6th grader, 7th grader, etc. Or maybe you’re a visitor! If so, share where you are in life :-)

i am a 7th grade student at MV. i think 7th gr. is better than 6th gr. because you can play school sports like volleyball. plus we do experiments in science. but being in 8th gr. sounds fun to.

Hey, Im MM from Mrs.v’s 7th grade class
    Blogging is so fun!!!
7th grade is better than 6th grade in our school because we get more options, like sports and priviliges. I kind of like school and want it to go by fast, but i like the experiences with my friends like school trips and i want to enjoy 7th grade. I want to stay in 7th grade now but next year i will be ready for new, fun experiences.
    Thanks!!!!!, MM

    PS. Blogging rocks my socks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    hey,

7th is better than sixth, because there is more school sports, funner classes, and more freedom. I would want to be in 8th grade , because there is more competive school sports.

  12.   J Mon 19 Dec 2007 at 1:28 pm 12

i like 7th grade better because of more privlagies than 6th grade had.

I’m a seventh grader. I really like seventh gradde because I have made some new friends. I hope seventh grade will last a long time. I also want to be in eighth grade already because I want to keep learnig at a fast pace. I wish there was a way to be in both. We get a lot of freedom in 7th grade. We also have a ton of more reapocibilities. :(

I’m a 7th grader at mv. I like 7th grade better than 6th because the day seems to go faster. It is hard to belive the year is going so fast it is all ready second quarter midterm.

  15.   Ton 19 Dec 2007 at 1:30 pm 15

I am a 7th grader at MVMS. I like 7th grade better than 6th because you have more freedom. You also feel more mature. You don’t have to line up everywhere your going, and you can pretty much sit where ever you want. I can’t wiat for 8th grade because you can CHOOSE you classes, (not core).

    Cool blog Mrs. Olson!

Last year I was more shy than I’m now. Now I more active with asking questions about stuff I don’t know. I won an award for asking alot of questions. 7th grade we learning more math than when I was in 6th grade. The bad part was the Holocaust project that took a long time to get done, but I learned alot about the holocaust. My teachers are fun but they all want more responisable on us. 6th grade was a tiny sweet cupcake to 7th grade. I am in band and we get more hard piece of music. Thank you for reading my blog.

Well, if I really had to choose between 6th and 7th grade I would probably choose 7th just so then I could be a little more older and all the more smart (i am not saying I wasnt smart then :) My reasons are many but really are not all that unreasonable. I like 7th grade for more opportunities in stuff like sports and education.

  25.   CDon 19 Dec 2007 at 3:06 pm 25

Well i think that 7th grade is a lot better then 6th grade because there are nicer teachers and it seems like the day is shorter then they usually are because are core classes are seperated from each other because 3rd, 4th, and 5 hour seperate them!! But then again 8th grade is probably a lot better then 6th and 7th grade because you are finally at the end of middle school and then after 8th grade you are at the highschool and your days are alot different then our days in middleachool. but if your at the end of 8th grade and going into 9th you are going to be leaving meadowveiw intermediate/middle school. So it all depends if you like meadowveiw or not!! But i would say i like 7th grade because you are the middle grade and i like being in the middle!! i also like being the oldest but im fine with being in the middle!! Well got to go bye i’ll probably blog agian on your page!! bye-bye have fun with your 6th graders!!

  26.   STon 19 Dec 2007 at 3:11 pm 26

Hi,I am a 7th grader at Medowveiw Middle School. 7th grade is so cool! We (7th graders) get way more privaleges then last year! Even though 8th graders probable have even more privlages then we do!! Um- I wouldn’t want to skip 7th grade because I wouldn’t know antthing that i was supose to learn in 7th grade and i would miss all the experiences I would share with all my friends!! 7th graders get more opurtunetiesto to join sports and extracurricular activities! All though there is way too much drama in 7th grade, exspecaily when your part of it, which I usally am!!!
Anyway- gtg look at other things on your blog!! Bye bye!!

I think that my school is alot better than elementry school.I think that it is better because you are more free. The only bad thing about my schol is that i have more than 1 teacher.

  28.   ahon 20 Dec 2007 at 8:28 am 28

I am in sixth grade. I think I liked last year better because this year my old friends are all in different pods. I only get to see them at lunch time now. This year kind of started out tough… I got VERY sick with a false brain tumor and was out almost 3 weeks of school in October. Things are going a lot better now, but I still don’t like school.

  29.   YRon 20 Dec 2007 at 8:29 am 29

I am a 6th grader. I would have to say that middle school is better than elementary school because you have more than just one tcher 4 each class and you get more choices to pick from for lunch.
